This is the authentic Classic Confetti of Sulmona Italy. Confetti or sugared almonds originated here in Sulmona, Italy 250 years ago. The best Confetti Sulmona are made with Avola almond which come from Avola (Siracusa) in Sicily. The Avola almonds are not toasted and they are coated with an extra fine sugar coating. Avola almonds are also very flat, fragrant and are naturally sweet. They are considered the best almonds in the world. For this reason, confetti made with Avola almonds are finer quality and are more expensive.

This traditional wedding candy (confetti) signifies the union of life with the bitterness of the almond and the sweetness of the candy of what future matrimonial life may offer.
